Chefs Give Back: Solidarity Through Soup

  • Revival Food Hall (Food Hall Panel) 125 North Clark Street Chicago, IL, 60602 United States (map)

In an increasingly tumultuous era, how can chefs best increase awareness for the causes they care about and give back to the communities they love? This spring, a group of Chicago chefs generated over $36,000 for immigrant communities in one night, just by making soup. We’ll hear what spurned their sudden communal action, what they learned, and how Solidarity Soup might be a model for culinary activism going forward.

Speakers: Bruce Sherman (North Pond), Matthias Merges (Yusho, A10, Billy Sunday)

Moderator: Louisa Chu (Chicago Tribune)
